Launch of the Website
Website
The BatsA website is an open-source platform aimed at sharing and disseminating knowledge about the relationships between humans and bats in Austronesia and beyond.
Through this event, we aim to raise awareness of our project while also contributing to the debunking of misconceptions about bats in various communities, including in Wallonia. Insectivorous species contribute to healthy and sustainable agriculture by protecting crops from pests. Frugivorous or nectarivorous species are exceptional gardeners that play a key role in preserving biodiversity in times when it is under significant threat: pollination, reforestation, soil fertilization, etc.
The evening will offer a chance to exchange ideas on bats and initiatives dedicated to them both here and elsewhere, in a friendly atmosphere. We would be delighted to have you join us to discuss the challenges associated with these animals, today and in the future.
